Biography 

Jason DeShaw is a singer/songwriter, born and raised in Montana. He grew up working on a farm and ranch, and wrote his first song on a John Deere tractor. He has released seven albums and performed at just about every county fair. His music resonates with cowboys and hippies alike.

DeShaw has spent years fighting for better care for people facing mental illness and addiction. He has gone behind the walls of state psychiatric hospitals and leading Veteran’s care facilities bringing hope along with him. University research concluded that his presentation, Serenity in the Storm, significantly reduced stigma and increased help seeking behavior in Montana high school students.

For his incredible work, Jason DeShaw received the Champions Award in Washington D.C. from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for “exhibiting courage, leadership and service on behalf of all people living with mental illness.”
